Have you ever seen a cat follow a laser light? They bounce from here to there and spin in circles until they are sick. Their only focus is that light. What they don't realize is that they are never going to get that light and hold it in their paws — it is just a distraction and they will never win.
Often times, we are much like that cat. We bounce here and there putting out fires, fighting battles, wasting time on fruitless relationships and pursuits and allow ourselves to be pulled to-and-fro by these distractions. Before you know it, years have passed and you wonder why you have not gone any further than were you've already been.
Come up higher. Quit being distracted by the light show. Stop being pulled into the negativity of others. Refrain from partaking in the games. Come up higher and see what the Lord has for you to do today!
Whenever God wanted to meet with some of the most influential men in the Bible, He called them higher. He called them so high that He met them on tops of mountains!
For Noah is was Mt. Ararat, for Abraham it was Mt.Moriah and the list continues on to include Joshua and Elijah. They all came up higher to receive revelation for the future and to hear what God was trying to speak!
For those of you who have been believing for something that seems impossible, I encourage you to not trust the things that you see right in front of you but to engage your faith and to trust what God has promised you. Come up higher when everything around you is in complete turmoil and God will give you instruction. It is my prayer for you today that you choose to rise above all the distractions, rise above all the noise and get on a frequency where you can clearly hear what the Lord is trying to speak to you at this time. Come up higher today and every day.
