Jaffa
We started the day enjoying a delicious breakfast while overlooking the beautiful Mediterianian Sea. Our first stop of the day was in Jaffa. Jonah used the harbor there and it is also the place where Peter met Simon the Tanner and healed Tabitha (Dorkis). We strolled through the old downtown area and felt like we had stepped back in time with large stone buildings and cobblestoned streets.
Mt. Caramel
We climbed up the stairs of an old monistary to the rooftop that was built on Mt. Carmel where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal and God rain fire from heaven proving him far above all other gods. You can almost see the entire span of Israel from this point.
These are just two of the 7 stops we made today! We have been busy but wanted to update all of you stateside who have been praying for us. We truly have had to pinch ourselves to make sure this is real. God has been giving us revelation while we visit these historic and spiritually significant places and we can't wait until we can share them in depth with you all. This is only day one in Isreal, we've only just begun!
